Some information about our founder and company

Dear Client,

Since the 1970s I have been engaged in the exacting practice of reversing the deterioration of fine old furniture. I have studied the design, the craftsmanship and the finishes used on outstanding pieces of antique furniture from all over the world, paying particular attention to the warmth and feel that their surfaces can develop over time. This unique look of age is called patina, and its existence on a piece of furniture gives it extraordinary richness and desirability. The primary objective, during my restoration work, is to prevent the loss of a desirable patina.

Often however we receive furniture with a patina that is damaged or lost completely. Successful restoration of the patina, along with repairs that ensure the integrity of a piece, is where the pride in my work and the rewards for my clients come together. The process of restoration in my shop is about making certain that the maximum function, aesthetics and value of these treasured and rare pieces of furniture is achieved. The following pages illustrate a few of the many restoration projects we have completed to our clients’ great satisfaction.
