My work is a continuation of my family’s heritage of accomplished craftsmanship. An example of this is the violin pictured here, made by my grandfather, Hugh James Hamilton.
I am constantly exploring ways to significantly increase my knowledge of the best approaches and techniques in furniture restoration and conservation. I am a member of the American Institute of Conservators and the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. I am also on the editorial advisory board and have written and lectured for the Professional Refinishing magazine. Along with studying the furniture and craftsmanship of North America, I have traveled to England, France and Scotland, examining their finest antique furniture and its splendid craftsmanship. As a result, I am able to bring a broad accumulation of knowledge, insight and experience in addition to my enthusiasm to each new restoration project that enters the
Hamilton workshop.    B.HAMILTON
